Flexible and Productive

In the production lines for cylinder heads and motor blocks, in addition to the pure cutting processes, there are also several assembly and testing operations that are performed on highly automated AMT systems. We are one of the leading providers for these systems with many years of experience.

Cylinder Head - Assembly Machines

We offer assembly systems for the following assembly operations:

  • Assembly / disassembly of adapter plates or zero point clamping systems
  • Insertion of valve seats and valve guides with or without nitrogen cooling
  • Assembly of camshafts - cam caps insert and tighten with screws
  • Assembly of studs
  • Assembly of cap plugs (balls, cap, KOENIG Expander)
  • Leak test
  • End of line inspection station

Insertion of Cylinder Liners using Heat

Insertion of Cylinder Liners using Heat

Assembly systems for the joining of cylinder liners in cylinder bores integrate the following processes:

  • Automatic loading and unloading of work piece
  • The motor blocks are heated up to approximately 200 degrees in an oven
  • A heated motor block is transferred to a joining station
  • A robot transfers the tempered liners to the joining station.
  • The liners are arranged in the joining station and added to the cylinder bores.
  • Cooling down of the motor block to the ambient temperature
  • The result of the joining process is monitoring in a subsequent test station.
